There is hope to minimize your frown lines with Xeomin® treatment

At Mitchell Dermatology, “Neuromodulators” represent one of the most popular and widely-known ways to soften common signs of aging, such as lines and wrinkles. You may know this type of treatment by another name, Botox®; however, Botox® cosmetic is just one neuromodulator product. Mitchell Dermatology encourages patients in Northwest Ohio to have name recognition for all of the neuromodulators and to get to know Xeomin® and  Jeuveau® as well.

XEOMIN®, IN A NUTSHELL

Pronounced “Zeo-min,” Xeomin® is one of the neuromodulators that came to the industry after Botox and Dysport. This FDA-approved solution contains botulinum toxin-A as its active ingredient and a high-purified toxin protein. Along with other botulinum toxin-assisted products, Xeomin® blocks the process that causes the muscles responsible for “expression lines” to contract. When a muscle cannot contract, it cannot produce a line when you squint, frown, smile, or otherwise express yourself.

JEUVEAU®, IN A NUTSHELL

Pronounced “Ju-veau,” Jeuveau® is the newest neuromodulator on the market that blocks the neuromuscular signals that tell your muscles to contract or move and create facial lines. Jeuveau® blocks the process that causes the muscles responsible for “expression lines” to contract.

Xeomin® and Jeuveau® are FDA approved to correct:

  • Moderate to severe frown lines
  • Crow’s feet
  • Forehead wrinkles
  • Smile lines at the corners of your eyes
  • Perpendicular lines between your brows, also known as glabellar lines
  • Nasal squint lines
  • Lines on your neck

At Mitchell Dermatology in Northwest Ohio, your injector, Dr. Hope Mitchell or her experienced nurse cosmetic injector, will inject just the right amount of Xeomin® into the precise treatment areas; for example, at the root of your “frown lines” on your forehead and between your eyebrows (the “glabella” aka 11’s). The results from your Xeomin® or Jeuveau® treatment always look natural. You will not look “overdone” or “frozen.” Remember: with Dr. Mitchell or her professional, experienced nurse cosmetic injector’s precise planning and injections, these treatments affect only the injected muscles. There are dozens of individual muscles. So, rest assured, you can still express yourself naturally!
