Dazzle with DAXXIFY®
The first and only long-lasting, peptide-powered wrinkle reducer of its kind
Mitchell Dermatology ensures the safest treatment and the highest satisfaction with results from DAXXIFY® injections for valued and diverse patients.
What is DAXXIFY®?
DAXXIFY® is the first and only FDA-approved neuromodulator designed with peptides to provide long-lasting results in the softening of expression lines. “Neuromodulator” sounds like a mouthful, but it simply refers to a category of cosmetic treatments (like Botox®) that work to reduce lines and wrinkles caused by facial expressions by interrupting muscle contractions that are responsible for movement.
DAXXIFY® is not formulated or stabilized by human or animal byproducts. It is the first and only “peptide-powered” technology of its kind. It utilizes a peptide exchange technology to deliver the toxin to the nerve cells. The use of the proprietary stabilizing protein enhances the interaction between the treatment and its target, resulting in longer-lasting effects. As a “long-lasting” product, results from DAXXIFY® treatment can persist for up to six to nine months.
What to expect during my treatment
Dr. Mitchell or a qualified medically trained staff provider will consult with you to determine the most appropriate neuromodulator treatment for you. Good candidates for DAXXIFY® generally have moderate to severe frown lines on the forehead and between the eyebrows. Revance Aesthetics, the makers of DAXXIFY®, reported that its safety and effectiveness were supported by the “largest-ever” phase three clinical trial for a frown line treatment – spanning more than 2,800 individuals of all skin types and ages.
During your visit, DAXXIFY® will be injected using a very small and thin needle. Most patients describe the sensation as a pinch. There is a possibility that the area around the injection site will swell, turn red, and cause pain or tenderness from the injection itself.
How quickly will I see DAXXIFY® results and are there any side effects?
DAXXIFY® can produce results as soon as the next day after treatment and usually within two days. This no-downtime procedure also gets quick results. Within two weeks, you should see noticeable benefits. You may notice minor bruising as a result of the injection, which will take a few days to heal. Minimal and temporary side effects may be experienced, such as injection site redness, tenderness, and inflammation. These side effects are typically very minor and go away after a few hours or days.
Neuromodulators results are temporary; however, DAXXIFY® results last longer than those of other products. If you are considering Daxxify injections for treating fine lines and wrinkles, we welcome you to book an appointment with Dr. Hope Mitchell and her team to discuss your options.
