Chemical peels are one of the most customizable treatments to improve skin appearance and quality significantly. At Mitchell Dermatology, Dr. Mitchell and her team of licensed nurses care for many different Fitzpatrick skin tones. Our patients have peace of mind that their chemical peel will be tailored to them at every step. We account for their skin type, concerns, personal attributes, and goals.
During the consultation, we evaluate your skin to determine the best peel for your skin and concerns. The peel solution application is a relatively painless and quick procedure. In doing so, we renew the turnover of skin cells. With the removal of dead and damaged cells on the skin’s surface, fresh and glowing skin is revealed. Depending on the peel solution, the process may also boost the production of new collagen.
What concerns you most about your skin? Do you have stubborn dark spots? Are you troubled by past reminders of acne breakouts? Are you starting to notice fine lines and wrinkles? These and numerous other signs of aging and environmental damage can be treated with chemical peels. They are beneficial for the skin as they improve texture, tone, and overall quality.
Our patients appreciate that they do not have to undergo invasive or aggressive surgical treatment to restore the healthy appearance of their aging or sun-damaged skin. Additionally, with modern solutions and techniques, today’s patients do not have to undergo deep chemical peels to get results. Light or superficial peels can provide visible improvements. They renew your skin’s natural radiance and “glow” without the risks of side effects, complications, downtime, and recovery associated with traditional peels that penetrate the dermal layers. These lighter options are appropriate for many patients, including those with darker and/or sensitive skin.
The results of chemical peels improve as more skin cells are brought to the surface and fresh collagen is produced. We know you will want to maintain those dazzling results. We work with a diverse community of patients to instill a healthy routine of maintenance treatment sessions and good skin care. With proper care and sun protection, you can extend the results from treatment with peels or one of many other therapies available at our office.
